Samsung Flip Foldable Phone Features a Wrap Around Screen

Imagined a Samsung phone that’s based on new OLED screen technologies and the result was the Samsung Flip concept, seen below. This one is a device that’s able to fold and bend and it comes with a wrap around screen, plus a very interesting interface, that looks more modern than any TouchWiz version so far.

The screen is wrapped around the bottom of the phone, where the notification area is placed, in order to get rid of clutter and keep the notification bar off the main screen. The Samsung Flip becomes an entirely different device when you flip it, depending on what your use for it is. Also, the UI changes depending on the phone positions, so for example there’s a special layout for videocalling, one for listening to music, playing back video or simply using the handset as a watch and photo frame.

You can also personalize the cover of the Samsung concept phone when it’s bended and as you can see this folding aspect allows you to keep the device attached to your belt or to a strap, as shown by the young ladies below. You can also keep recording video even if the phone is folded and it will actually keep it more steady for excellent video capture. Add a dual core 2GHz CPU to this device, Android 4.0, 16GB of memory and an 8MP camera like the one on the Galaxy Note and I’m sold!

Amazon Kindle

The Amazon Kindle is an e-book reader developed by Amazon.com subsidiary Lab126 which enables users to shop for, download, browse, and read e-books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, and other digital media via wireless connectivity. The hardware devices, now in their fourth generation, began as a single device and now comprise a range of devices — most using an E Ink electronic paper display capable of rendering 16 shades of gray to simulate reading on paper while minimizing power consumption.
Kindle hardware has evolved from the original Kindle introduced in 2007 and a Kindle DX line (with a larger screen) introduced in 2009. Announced in September 2011, the range now includes devices with keyboards (Kindle Keyboard), devices with touch sensitive screens (Kindle Touch), a tablet computer with a reader app and a color display (Kindle Fire) and a low-priced model with an on-screen keyboard (Kindle).
Amazon has also introduced Kindle software for use on various devices and platforms, including Microsoft Windows, iOS, BlackBerry, Mac OS X (10.5 or later, Intel processor only), Android, webOS, and Windows Phone. Amazon also has a "cloud" reader to allow users to read, and purchase, Kindle books from a web browser.

First Android Phone {HTC Dream}

The HTC Dream (also marketed as the T-Mobile G1 in the US and parts of Europe and as the Era G1 in Poland) is an Internet-enabled smartphone with an operating system designed by Google and hardware designed by HTC. It was the first phone on the market to use the Android mobile device platform.

Motorola Xoom

he Motorola Xoom is an Android-based tablet computer by Motorola, introduced at CES 2011 on January 5, 2011. It was the first tablet to be sold with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The Verizon branded Xoom was the first tablet to run Android 3.1 Honeycomb, however the 3.1 update has not yet been provided for European variants. The Motorola Xoom went through the FCC on February 10, 2011 only 14 days before release. The 3G version was released on February 24, 2011, and the Wi-Fi version was released March 27, 2011. It was announced concurrently with three other products: the Motorola Atrix, the Motorola Droid Bionic, and the Motorola Cliq 2. CNET.com named it the "Best of the CES" 2011.

Its successor, the Xoom 2 was announced in October 2011, and released in November.

Features
The Xoom supports up to 720p video playback. It features a 2 MP front-facing camera for video chatting over Wi-Fi or cellular Internet and a rear-facing 5 MP camera that records 720p video. The Xoom has a 1280×800 px widescreen, 10.1-inch display and 3D graphics acceleration, as well as HDMI-out. It features the Gorilla Glass resistant coating.

It includes a variety of sensors, including a gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer, and a barometer. The Xoom uses an Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC T20 chip.

If trying to communicate with the Xoom tablet, via USB cable and using a computer which has Windows XP operating system, ensure you have upgraded the Windows XP to Windows Media player 11. Windows 7 will automatically work for the USB cable.

Android Watch Mobile {I'm Watch}

The I'm Watch is an Android device which acts both as a smartphone and a wristwatch. The device was demoed at ARM TechCon 2011 show in Santa Clara, California and is expected to be showed at CES 2012. The official launch is expected for January, 2012.

Android Powered TV {Onida}

We are listening Android and Android Mobile Phones from last many years but now TV {amazed} is also coming with Android Software .  Mirc Electronics, the brand owners of Onida has introduced their first Android LED TV ‘Onida iTube’ in India. This 3D internet-enabled and Android-powered TV allows the user access to a large number of applications available in the Android market.
Addressing presspersons Sanjeev K. Jain, Vice-President, Sales & Service, said this smart LED TV had an internal memory of 70 MB to store nearly 100 applications in personal apps library. It would support up to one TB (trillion bytes) of external memory.
According to Mr. G. Mani, Regional Business Manager, the product at the entry level model of 32 inches would cost Rs. 45,990. Other features include Wifi, Ethernet, Movie USBx3, Full HD, 2D to 3D conversion and comfortable 3D glasses that comes along with it.
Mr. Sanjeev said, the 3D and internet LED TV was a rapidly growing segment and the company was confident of getting good response from customers. This would help the company reach the Rs.3,000-crore topline target. The major areas of growth were airconditioners, flat panel products and mobile segment. Though the company was commanding one per cent market share in the mobile segment with around 30 models, it was working on introducing novel features that would help grow in size in the market.
The company was quite bullish on microwave ovens while it was also working on LED lighting, Mr. Sanjeev said. With more than 360 centres and 67 touch points in Tamil Nadu, the company was hopeful of getting a sizable market share during the festival season, he said.
The company had stepped up its advertisement spend by 25 per cent during this quarter. Explaining the technology involved, Krishnakumar Menon, Senior Category Manager, LCD, said Onida iTube was powered by dual processing which would allow downloading content while viewing the TV.
